Good news or bad news?

Hello, hello! Did you miss us? We miss us! 
We're interrupting our unannounced summer hiatus with these important messages:

Bad news: Changes to US-bound shipping

We'll skip the "previously on US Tariffs and duties" and go straight to this update. So far, all US-bound orders under $800 have been exempt from tariffs and duties. However, this will change on August 29th, when a flat-rate tariff of $80 to $200 per item (depending on the country of origin) will be imposed for up to 6 months, as postal shippers develop a new process to collect new duties (which will range from 10% and up). 

As a result, the last day to order from us to your US address will be Sunday, the 24th. After this date, we will pause US shipping until further notice.

Yikes, right?! Good news?

We’ve lowered all shipping to 
a flat 5 USD (to the US)/ 5 CAD (within Canada) 
until the end of the week (Sunday, August 24th), 
so if you want to grab a thing, now’s your chance. 

That's it, really. It sucks, and it's only the latest thing in this summer of bummers (don't worry, we won't trauma dump). Almost half of you are ordering from the US, and not being able to send stuff over is a huge blow. 
C'est la vie, (A la guillotine, ô gué) as they say. 

Please tell your friends (and enemies) and consider buying something if you can. We'll still be shipping within Canada, and hopefully, soon, the rest of the world.
